Soul Care

Because of Christ’s unending love for us, the mission of the Soul Care Team is to minister to those in our church and community by offering comfort to others and by walking with them through life’s valleys as we rely on the wisdom of God’s Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

About Us:

The heart of our Soul Care team is to walk through life's difficulties and challenges with those in our church and community who desire encouragement, fellowship, hope, and direction. No one should walk through life's challenges alone! Our Soul Care Team Members have a heart to get to know you and walk beside you in whatever you might be experiencing. Although Soul Care is not a professional counseling service, each of our Team Members have completed a Mental Health Coach course from the AACC (A 40-hour Certification). Meet the Soul Care Team

Justin Lassen

It's inevitable that in this life we will experience heartbreak, pain, and difficulties.  If Jesus experienced these things in His life, we can expect to go through them as well. Although there's nothing naturally appealing in experiencing hardship, God can use it for our good. I've come to experience that truth in my own life. Through an anxiety disorder, God has shown up in powerful ways. One of those ways is through a loving community and through people that walk with me through my trials. It's a privilege for me to be able to do the same!

Debby Kraai

Our God is a relational God, and we were CREATED to live in a relationship with Him and with others.  But Satan desires nothing more than to destroy our relationships by telling us, “You’re ALONE, NO ONE will understand, and You. Are. Not. Worth. It.”
I’m a veteran of believing the accuser's lies and withdrawing from others. However, I have learned that relationships are the very places where we can find healing, joy, and peace through the work of the Holy Spirit.

Robbie Jungers

My name is Robbie Jungers from Boyden, IA. I am married to Chad “Tony” Jungers. We’ve been married as long as we’ve been members at Tab- 27 + years. We are blessed grandparents to 3 of the most adorable grandchildren, enjoy riding bicycles & beekeeping.
I decided to become involved with Soul Care due to my past situations & history. I’m someone that grew up in dysfunction as I had 2 alcoholic parents, I became an unwed teen mom, I’ve lost loved ones due to cancer & have had to end or put boundaries in place to maintain healthy friendships/relationships.

Brett Kreykes

Hello! My name is Brett Kreykes. I have been married for 25 years and have 4 children. I’ve lived, went to school, and worshipped in northwest Iowa all but 18 months of my life. I work at Interstates in Sioux Center as an OTIS Manager. At work, I've learned how much I enjoy point-in-time coaching as well as working thru professional and personal issues with my teammates. I also enjoy coffee, reading, listening to leadership podcasts, and jogging.

Amber Den Hartog

Hi I'm Amber Den Hartog. I'm a blessed mom to four adventurous kiddos aging from kindergarten to teen.  I've been married for 19 years,  and been a part of the Tab since I was a teen. Haiti is also a huge part of my life, where we have a son living there full time. My faith journey has overcome many bumps and valleys from miscarriages, addictions, codependency, and family conflicts. I  thrive on one on one relationships. I love my dog, a good coffee, and spending time with my family outdoors.

Carmen Vande Stroet

Most of us are eagerly willing to share the joyful moments in our lives, but then struggle with our darkest sorrows and worries alone. We often forget that we aren’t designed to do it alone, and what a great blessing it is to have another person willing to travel with us through the dark seasons we face. It is my hope to provide the same listening ear and compassion for others as God has so graciously shown in my own life.
